Confession Time
As a photographer, I have a love/hate relationship with light. I think my work speaks to it - more specifically to my love of shadows, darkness and mystery. That said, every now and then, I find myself drawn to shooting with light, sometimes lots of it, sometimes natural.
I used to struggle when I ventured out of the darkness and into the light. It felt like I was betraying who I was, and, the thing I'd become known for...and then, one day, someone pointed out that this discomfort was good. It meant I was challenging myself.
So, why not celebrate these polarities with a couple shots, one that is full of light, to the point of being almost blown out...and another in my more natural, subtle style. And, now for the confession - in time, I've learned to love them both.
